Wayne Husted began at Blenko Glass in 1952. Each year for ten years, Wayne came up with
fifty to sixty designs. Wayne became known for the hugh bottles and decanters that came to
typify the glass of the period. Wayne remained at Blenko until January 1963 after designing
the 1963 line. After thirty years, Wayne returned to Blenko in 1999.
Wayne’s Olana glass pieces are three-dimensional painting glass. Each piece is an abstract composition with the added
dimensions of space and refracted light. The stained glass windows were designed to represent the Olana pieces.
All pieces are signed by Wayne.
